About Lauren

I'm Lauren Maggio.

I'm a tenured professor, a researcher, a journal editor, and a Penn-certified executive coach. I've spent my career inside academia and healthcare, including service on promotion and tenure committees.

Dr. Lauren Maggio

I know what it feels like to be high-achieving and lost at the same time.

For years, I built a career in academia. I published, I taught, I led. On the outside, I was thriving. On the inside, I was quietly unraveling, exhausted, disconnected, and unsure of how I got so far off track.

Like so many driven people, I thought I could think my way out of it. I read more. Pushed harder. Set higher goals. But no amount of analysis could untangle what was really going on: I'd lost touch with my own compass.

That's when I found coaching. It wasn't a magic fix. But it was a space where I could hear myself think without judgment. Where I could ask better questions instead of chasing better answers.

And that changed everything.

My Coaching Philosophy

Coaching isn't about fixing you. It's about creating space for you to listen to yourself more clearly than you've been able to in a long time and to trust what you hear.

I believe transformation doesn't have to be loud or dramatic to be real. Sometimes, it's just one steady breath. One new question. One brave decision.

Today, I help others find their way forward.

I work with academics, leaders, and professionals who are smart, thoughtful, and tired of white-knuckling their way through life. Many are ready for more but don't know what "more" means yet.

I meet them exactly where they are. With care, curiosity, and deep respect. And together, we start to make space. For clarity. For courage. For change.
